Start a Conversation That Leads Somewhere
Free Assessment — A Senior Lending Professional Responds Within 24 Hours
Tell us about your business and what you need. There's no 40-page application form to fill out. No automated screening algorithm to satisfy. No chatbot standing between you and a real answer. When you reach out to Ellsworth Lend, a senior member of our 10-person team — someone who has underwritten hundreds of facilities across every major industry in Quebec — reads your message and responds personally within one business day. That first conversation is free, carries no obligation, and often gives business owners more clarity in 30 minutes than weeks of back-and-forth with their bank.
Complete the form below and we'll respond within one business day — usually much sooner. If you're not sure which financing solution fits your situation, that's perfectly fine. Describe your business and goals, and we'll identify the right structure during our initial conversation. Not sure what to expect? See how our process works from first contact to funding.

Best Times to Call
Monday – Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM EST
Dr. Martin Ellsworth, Jean-Philippe, or another senior team member will answer directly. No phone tree, no receptionist gatekeeping, no hold music — well, okay, maybe a little hold music during our busiest hours (Tuesday and Wednesday mornings tend to be peak), but we keep it tasteful and short. Most calls are answered within three rings.
What to Have Ready (Optional but Helpful)
- A general sense of how much financing you need ($100K–$5M is our typical range)
- What you'll use the funds for — see our 10 financing solutions if you'd like to browse beforehand
- Your most recent fiscal year-end financials (if handy — not required for the first call)
- Any previous lending history or existing facilities you'd like to refinance
- Your general timeline — is this urgent or are you planning ahead?
Don't Worry if You're Not Fully Prepared
The first call is a conversation, not an application. We've had initial calls that lasted 15 minutes and others that went over an hour — it depends entirely on your situation and what you'd like to discuss. There's no script on our end, and you won't be passed to a different department. The person who picks up the phone is the person who handles your file from first conversation through to funding.
Many business owners call us before they're even sure they need financing. That's fine. We've spent 15+ years studying how businesses grow — Dr. Ellsworth taught corporate finance at McGill for 15 years before founding Ellsworth Lend in 2010 — and some of our most productive conversations have been with owners who simply wanted a second opinion on their capital structure.
After Hours?
If you call outside business hours, you'll reach our voicemail. Leave your name, number, and a brief description of what you're looking for. We return every call the next business morning, usually before 10:00 AM. Alternatively, use the Send a Message tab to submit your details and we'll reach out at a time that works for you.
Prefer to schedule a specific time? Email [email protected] with two or three time slots that work for you and we'll confirm within 4 hours during business days. We do phone calls, video calls, or in-person meetings — whatever you're most comfortable with.
5595,5597 Avenue Wilderton
Montréal, Quebec H3T 1S1
All meetings are by appointment. Call (201) 427-8807 or email [email protected] to schedule. We typically have same-week availability, and we can accommodate early morning or late afternoon meetings if standard business hours don't work for your schedule.
We're located in the Wilderton area of Côte-des-Neiges, a residential-commercial neighbourhood easily accessible from Autoroute 15 and the Université de Montréal metro station. The office is a converted duplex — don't expect a glass tower. Our clients tell us the setting puts them at ease, which is precisely the point. Lending conversations go better when they feel like conversations, not interrogations.
Getting Here
By car: From downtown Montréal, take Autoroute 15 North to the Chemin de la Côte-des-Neiges exit. Budget 20–25 minutes depending on traffic. Free street parking is usually available on Avenue Wilderton and the surrounding side streets. There is no dedicated parking lot, but we've rarely had a client struggle to find a spot.
By metro: Take the Blue Line to Université de Montréal station, then walk north approximately 10 minutes. The entire trip from downtown takes about 30 minutes door to door.
By bus: The 51 bus (Édouard-Montpetit) stops within a 3-minute walk of our office.
What to Bring
For a first meeting, there's nothing mandatory. If you want to make the most of the time, bring your most recent year-end financial statements and a rough idea of how much financing you need and what it's for. We'll walk you through our six-phase process and identify the lending solution that fits your business. First meetings typically run 45 minutes to an hour.
Dr. Martin Ellsworth keeps an open-door policy for in-person conversations — it's part of who we are as a firm. But please call ahead so we can ensure the right team member is available and prepared for a productive discussion. We'll also send you a short pre-meeting checklist by email so the conversation moves efficiently from the start.
After You Get in Touch
Three Steps Between Your Message and a Clear Answer
We don't believe in making you wait or wonder. Here's exactly what happens after you submit a message, call, or schedule a visit. For the full six-phase breakdown from first contact to funded facility, see Our Process.
Prefer email? Write us directly at [email protected] — same 24-hour response commitment, same senior team member on the other end. Include as much or as little detail as you'd like; even a two-line email is enough to start a productive conversation.
Since 2010, 347 businesses across Quebec have started exactly this way — a simple message that led to a conversation, then a clear lending decision. Read what they have to say on our client stories page.
